Dulce Vida Mexican was born in Miami in 2018, when founder Nelly Olivares saw an opportunity to bring the authentic Mexican flavors she knew and loved to the city.

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, and raised in Dallas, Nelly’s love for cooking began long before Dulce Vida. She learned to cook at an early age in her own family kitchen, alongside her mother, her grandmothers, and her aunt. The recipes, techniques, and flavors she grew up with became the foundation of the food Dulce Vida serves today.

At our heart, we are a scratch-made Mexican kitchen. From our tortilla chips and salsas to our beans, rice, marinated meats, and fresh-fruit aguas frescas, we believe good food should be prepared with fresh ingredients, time, and care.

In 2024, Nelly brought Dulce Vida home to Dallas, bringing the journey full circle and sharing the food that began in her family’s kitchen with the city she grew up in.
